It's hard to ignore the facts. And because of it, people everywhere around you are making the switch to being more "green". Driving less, conserving electricity, recycling, etc. What else can you do to help? Ever thought about reusable bags?

How many plastic bags are being used each year? According to 1 Bag at a Time, no one really knows. Estimates for the U.S. alone range from 14 billion bags to 300 billion plastic bags used each year. In the past month, I have been able to review the reusable bags from 1 Bag at a Time. We do smaller grocery trips once every week. And we had still been using about 10 or more plastic bags. Like many others, we are trying to be more "green" and reusable grocery bags were the next thing on the list.

I was very worried that reusable bags wouldn't be easy to use. But they were. It's so easy to keep them in the car and then throw them in the shopping cart at the grocery store. They are very thin when folded, and take up almost no room at all!

The best part? They held all of our groceries with extra room left over. Each bag is made to hold three or four plastic bags. They are very durable! No problems with them folding over. Not only that, but bringing the groceries into the house was so much easier. Gone are the days of making 5 trips from the car to the house. My husband and I were able to bring 5 reusable bags into the house in just one trip. No running back and forth, just easy! I can't help but mention that it's even better than that! Most of the bags at 1 Bag at a Time cost less than $1!! Not only is it good for the environment, but for your wallet, too!


Look, here are all of our groceries! We have two plastic bags still and there is extra room in the middle bag, but only because there happened to be a new service associate bagging groceries that day. Since that trip, we've been able to fit everything in just fine.

Each bag from 1 Bag at a Time is designed:
to replace 2 paper bags or up to 4 plastic bags each time it is used.
to be used weekly for two years or more.
to replace up to 416 plastic bags over its entire lifetime.
