Tie Chair was nice enough to send me their product in the Organic Earth (brown) fabric.
Our kitchen area is small, and adding a highchair in that space would have been close to impossible if we still wanted to get around in it. So, I was ecstatic to try this out with my daughter as we had been holding off on making the highchair purchase as we just weren't sure where to put it.

The Tie Chair was very easy to set up, even without looking at the Instructions. I tried it on a few different chairs in our house. Small chairs, big chairs, chairs with arms, chairs without arms. Since it ties on the back of the chair, it fit well each time. I did notice that it fit a little better on square backed chairs, rather than rounded back chairs, but it didn't seem to make it any less safe.

Because our daughter is still pretty young and short, I had to roll down the front tie a little bit, and we did have to double wrap the straps around Lovebug, because if I tied it in the front, she was distracted and just wanted to play with them. She fit great in it though, and was pretty secure. Please don't leave your child alone while in the Tie Chair.

The only issue I had with the Tie Chair was that there is obviously no tray. Our Lovebug loves to bang on the tray and pick up her own food. With the Tie Chair, she was sitting too low from the table to have her food there. This definitely wouldn't be an issue though for an older and taller child though. I think it's especially ideal for an toddler who doesn't want the "baby chair" anymore!

Even without a tray, this is still an awesome product. We have since found a small highchair that installs directly to the kitchen chair, with a tray. So, the Tie Chair is no longer needed in our kitchen. But, we keep it in the car, because amazingly enough, a lot of restaurants don't have high chairs available. It would also be great to keep an extra at Grandma's house for visits.
