While getting ready for the birth of her son, Zander, she came across the conventional nursing covers and thought "there must be a better way". Nursing covers are bulky and take up precious space in a diaper bag or purse and they need to be washed periodically. Instantly the idea for Nursing Clips was born. Ever since that moment she has been creating unique and beautiful beaded clips as well as "Buddy Blankets" and burp cloths for the convenience of any nursing mother out there. "

Juliea, of Gypsy Jewels, was kind enough to contact me to see if I would like to review the Nursing Clips. I love trying out all breastfeeding related products and jumped at the chance. At almost one, I am still nursing Lovebug anywhere and everywhere we go. In the beginning, I did cover up quite frequently, and used a blanket to do so. It was a struggle to keep the blanket where it needed to be. Oh how I wish I had this then. My diaper bag was so full and packed, I don't think I could fit an extra nursing cover in there. This product is great because it's so tiny, and just hooks to a regular blanket. No extras needed. Depending on the type/weight of the blanket, you can still pucker it out to see your little one and so they can see you!

Once her head was bigger than my boob, and I was little braver. I stopped using covers. Especially since she would try to rip it off anyway. I did clip the Gypsy Jewels Nursing Clips to a blanket though, and tried nursing the Lovebug that way. I mostly wanted to see if it would stand up to her yanking at the blanket. It did, and I am impressed! If your little one is no longer nursing, or won't tolerate a cover, you can still use the Nursing Clips. Plus, there are so many color combinations, and at half the price of other conventional nursing covers, you could buy two or three and coordinate with your outfit!

Nursing Clips aren't the only product offered by Gypsy Jewels! There are gorgeous necklaces and decoupaged boxes! Gypsy Jewels also sells a Buddy Blanket, which compliment the line of Nursing Clips! The seam in the Buddy Blanket, allows Mom to see her child while using it as a nursing cover with the Nursing Clips! We have something similar to this, although not quite as lovely, for Lovebug. We keep all of her pictures, milestone information, and other little tidbits of her life in it. I wish I had seen this one first!
