Walgreens Digital Temple Thermometer Review!

I was recently able to try the Premium Temple Touch Thermometer from Walgreens. Prior to this, we used a digital stick thermometer, which was okay, until we had the Lovebug. All of a sudden, if she felt too warm, we would have to check her temperature rectally. When she was tiny, she didn't mind so much, but I still felt awful. Now though, she'll barely hold still to nurse. There is no way she'd let me take her temperature like that!

The Premium Temple Touch Thermometer is so easy to use! You just press the power button, and wait for the beep to let you know it's ready. Then by pressing set, you can choose where you want to measure the temperature (either temple or underarm). Then it's just as simple as holding it on the area, and waiting about 6 seconds. It might take a little longer if you have a squirmy little one, but it is still better than waiting 30 seconds to get a read out on a stick thermometer!

The Premium Temple Touch Thermometer will beep again, letting you know that it has finished and the temperature will show on the screen. If the temperature is in the high 99's, the Premium Temple Touch Thermometer will keep beeping, letting you know you have a fever.

The Premium Temple Touch Thermometer also uses the patented R.A.T.E. Technology to measure temperature. I cannot say enough good things about this product. It's non invasive, so I can use this on the Lovebug when she is awake or asleep! There is a large backlight display, so if you sneak into youe child's dark room to check, it will be no problem seeing the read out.

The Premium Temple Touch Thermometer has a few other neat features. Just by pressing and holding the power button, you can check the temperature of the room around you! Right now it's a nice 74.1 degrees! The other awesome thing is that the Premium Temple Touch Thermometer has an Over Dose Protection Timer (ODPT). You can easily set the timer on the thermometer to go off at different intervals. This is great if you need to administer medicine on a schedule!

If/when it wears out, we will replace it with the same one. Since the product retails for $29.99, I think it is pretty affordable! If you are looking for something a little more simple and cheaper, there is also a Mini Temple Touch Thermometer. This sold at Wal-Mart stores nationwide under the ReliOn brand for $9.94.
