Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway! Closed!

One day while we were painting nails over a foam plate, my daughter dropped a glob of her solvent-based polish onto the plate. Shortly after, the paint began to bubble and “ate” through the plate. I looked in dismay at the hole in the plate and decided to test all of her other “kid” polishes on the foam. From that day on, I decided that any flammable substance that could eat through foam was unacceptable for my children’s fingernails, which would inevitably end up in their mouths.
My quest was on, and Piggy Paint™ was born. As you may have guessed, our polish is NOT flammable and sits beautifully on the unaffected foam. Piggy Paint was generous enough to send me one of their lovely colors, Forever Fancy, along with their Nail Polish Remover. I've actually worn very little nail polish (if any at all) since Lovebug was born. I love wearing it, I just don't like the chemicals in it, and I was always worried it would chip and end up in my daughter's tummy. Yuck!

So when I heard about Piggy Paint, I was pretty excited! There are no harsh chemicals and it's a water based formula! What really got to me was seeing the pictures of the nail polish on the plate. I remembered spilling acetone polish removed on my side table, and how it instantly took the varnish right off. It's good to know that Piggy Paint won't do this!

When I got the Piggy Paint, I immediately wanted to try it out on my toes (this is flip flop weather after all). When I opened it up, I wasn't hit with a strong smell like a normal polish at all. Yes, it still smells. But, it's not over powering and I don't feel like I have to have all of the windows open and the fan going just to use it.

I did worry about how it would look. And I can definitely tell you there is a difference between using one or two coats. Use two, it looks much better! I also didn't use the blow dryer on my nails the first time, like Piggy Paint recommended. I did the next time though, and I could tell an immediate difference and the second time even lasted a little longer!

The Polish Remover isn't your normal remover. It doesn't stink, dry out your hands, or eat through things. It does take a little bit longer to get all of the polish off, but I think it's more than worth the trade!

I'm in love with Piggy Paint so much that when they were featured on Baby Half Off, I purchased every color I could! Last week I even gave Lovebug her first pedicure! My daughter now has "Eat Your Peace" (green) toes!

Piggy Paint has so many awesome colors! Even though I have a couple, I already know I want more! And as Lovebug grows older, I know we'll keep coming back to Piggy Paint for all of our nail polish and remover needs!
