"The idea for SafetyTat temporary child ID tattoos was born of necessity one weekend at an amusement park. On Labor Day Weekend, Baltimore Mom, Michele Welsh and her husband, there with their three small children, felt out-numbered. To stave her panic, she quickly wrote her mobile phone number on each of their arms with a ballpoint pen. As she did this, she thoughtfully explained to each of them the importance of staying close to Mommy and Daddy. She also told them that if they were separated that the number on their arm was a way to reconnect with them.Throughout the day of fun, Michele had to rewrite the number several times as it smeared or washed off. Several parents in the park stopped her to ask if that was her number on the kids' arms. Each time, they loved the idea.
The day was a success and the idea for SafetyTat temporary child id tattoos was born."
Especially when it comes to Lovebug. This year, we started making travel plans for music, events, and next month- the beach. Since Lovebug is now more than mobile, I can't help but worry about her running off. I've seen how quickly she can go and even the best watch on her might not be good enough.I had heard about Safety Tats last year. I hadn't needed them, since my daughter was barely crawling. But, I tucked the product back in my mind for when I would need it. I had seen others place a sticker on their child's shirt or backpack, and even the pen on skin, like the creator tried- both had failed though, with the sticker coming off and the pen washing off. I needed something a little more permanent.
I was able to try both the Quick Stick Write-On! in the girl pack and the Original SafetyTat in the super cute butterfly design. It didn't take long until we had the chance to use them on Lovebug. We were heading out to a local music festival.I got out one of the Original Safety Tats, it applies like a regular temporary tattoo. Just stick to the skin, wet it a bit, and voila! Tattoo! It came out looking great. It lasted most of the day (about ten hours). By that point, you could no longer read the phone number. The website says it can last up to 5 days, but I'm not sure under what conditions. Still- I love this product! I won't hesitate to keep using it with my little one.
I just had the chance to try the Quick Stick Safety Tat last week. These can last up to two weeks, and had we not taken it off ourselves, I'm sure it would have. This one is a bit different. It sticks by itself, no water needed. It comes with a special pen to write your number on it. I think this would be great to send along to grandmas, or a babysitter/daycare. That way, you can have the current phone number on your child.
We are heading to the beach next month,
these will be packed with us for sure! There are so many options and designs available with this award winning product. I like that you can use them for more than just phone numbers. These would be great for my little guy when we're at bigger events to warn people not to try to feed him snacks.
