1 Bag at a Time Review and Giveaway!

"I used to be a high school English teacher, but when I discovered reusable grocery bags on a trip to Australia, it changed my life. As a passionate environmentalist and life-long learner, I was shocked to learn about the damage caused by shopping bags, and it didn’t take me long to see how easy reusable bags were. It was a positive transformation that I wanted to share with others. So I set out to bring attractive and affordable reusable bags to America, and share information about the how bags impact our planet. That’s exactly what I’ve done. Since then, my company has become a leading supplier of reusable bags in America. The more than 10 million bags I have sold will replace over 10 billion plastic bags, saving our environment and our cities untold damage and waste. Small stores, mid-sized businesses, and large corporations all come to me when they want a bag specialist. They know they can count on my company to deliver a consistently high quality product, excellent customer service, and corporate responsibility policies that accord with their own beliefs about respect for people and the planet. For me, reusable bags are emblematic of a cleaner, better world. I hope you’ll join my mission to save the world—1 Bag at a Time®!"

1 Bag at a Time has been featured on my blog several times in the past. Why? Because I feel like switching to a reusable shopping bag can be one of the easiest solutions to cutting down on the use of plastic bags! They are more durable, fit more than a regular bag, and help to save the planet, what's not to love?
You can find out more about 1 Bag at a Time's story and what makes them different Here.

We are still using the original bags that we received from 1 Bag at a Time, more than a year ago! Some of the plastic inserts have recently broken, but I attribute that to leaving them in a hot car all day. You can also buy extra inserts from 1 Bag at a Time.

1 Bag at a Time recently sent me their new Ultimate Portable Shopping bag to try out. This is unlike any of their other products! The Ultimate Portable Bag is made from DuPont Tyvek, so it's strong enough to hold 30 pounds. But, it rolls up and fits into an attached pouch, comparable to the size of my palm!

I definietely think this bag is great, especially for people who tend to forget their other bags. Just throw some into the bottom of your purse (they barely take up any room) and go! What makes the bag even better is that is recyclable anywhere plastic bottles are, and it is machine washable!

I can say that I've easily put this bag to the test (and then some!). It has held up perfectly and even with a lot of weight, is still comfortable to handle! These are a little bit more expensive than the other bags, at $3.99. However, I think they are well worth it to have a few bags always on you!

1 Bag at a Time has generously offered to give one Moma Lovebug reader one of their Ultimate Portable bags!

I like that you can use a bag over and over again and save money because you're not having to bags. And, that you can recycle a reusable bag when you're done with it.

Thanks for hosting this great giveaway!
